"Truth is Mormonism,God is the author of it."

This coming February 2012  will be 11 years since I became a convert to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints( nicknamed-Mormons) and 6 years since I returned as a full time missionary from the Nigeria Uyo-Mission now Calabar Mission. I have reflected much on what has happened in those years. I have also thought much about what I should try to do in the remaining years of my life on this earth. I have been trying this year to make a special effort to bear my witness as part of my calling as a member of the church. In other words, I have been trying to make this year a special year to bear testimony. I hope to make every remaining year of my life a special year to bear testimony.

In that spirit, I say Hello and Welcome to Mormon way. In fact, the creation of this website was born out of my sheer desire to have a platform for members of the church in Ghana to share their testimonies and their stories of conversion in order to uplift one another and help increase our desire to hold tight to the iron rod leaving behind the cares of this world and focus on helping our Heavenly Father “To bring to pass the immortality and eternal life of man” as recorded in Moses 1:39.

More so, on December 15, 2007, Elder M Russell Ballard gave a speech to two hundred graduates of Brigham Young University- Hawaii, wherein he states:  “We cannot stand on the sidelines while others, including our critics, attempt to define what the church teaches. While some conversations have audiences in the thousands or even millions, most are much, much smaller. But all conversations have an impact on those who participate in them. Perceptions of the Church are established one conversation at a time.

He further said that there are too many conversations going on about the church for church representatives to respond to each of them individually, and that church leaders can’t answer every question, satisfy every inquiry, and respond to every inaccuracy that exists.” He said that these students should consider sharing their views on blogs, responding to online news reports, and using “new media” in other ways.

By paying heed to the Apostle’s clarion call, I have decided to be a pioneer in my own way with an opportunity to “brave new frontiers to spread the gospel”, in the hopes that just maybe members and non members might find hope, or truth or faith in the testimonies and conversion stories that will be presented on this website in which all my efforts would have been worth it.

But I also have a deep sympathy for the trials of life that create such heavy burdens that people bear, and want to be that voice to offer comfort, hope, encouragement, motivation, and inspiration. It has a lot to do with lds beliefs in “emotional supply lines”

Finally, I believe it’s very important to speak up. The world is having conversations about Mormonism using new media (particularly the internet) and increasingly people are turning online for research. It is important that when they go online, they find the right information; yes the elixir for the soul in these last days as shared and testified by real people in the most humble manner.

I suppose this to be a great opportunity to let people know what we believe because we have been blessed to come to the earth during a time when the fullness of the gospel has been restored, and the great and everlasting principles of eternity have been manifest in their purity, and we have great claim to that knowledge and so we must help our fellow brothers and sisters who have been kept from the truth because they don't know where to find it through our testimonies and stories of conversions.

To this Apostle Paul said in his message to the Romans, “For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek” (Rom. 1:16).

“Then said Jesus unto the twelve, Will ye also go away?
“Then Simon Peter answered him, Lord, to whom shall we go? Thou hast the words of eternal life.“And we believe and are sure that thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God” (John 6:66–69).

“But with some I am not well pleased, for they will not open their mouths, but they hide the talent which I have given unto them, because of the fear of man. Wo unto such, for mine anger is kindled against them.” D&C 60:2

The only way for good men to fail, is for good men to do nothing!

“Therefore, verily I say unto you, lift up your voices unto this people; speak the thoughts that I shall put into your hearts, and you shall not be confounded before men; for it shall be given you in the very hour, yea, in the very moment, what ye shall say.” (D&C 100: 5-6)

I testify that this is true.  Open your mouth every chance you get and testify of the Lord and his restored Church and the gospel message that you carry.  If you do, the Lord will bless you with the right words, and he will guide you to the right people, and the Spirit will penetrate the hearts of your listeners and testify of the truthfulness of your words.  You will be blessed and the Lord will be able to bless many others as you become an instrument in his hands.

Open your mouths for GOOD!
At such a time as this, we need to
STAND UP, SPEAK OUT, and TAKE A STAND FOR GOOD!

I belive

When I was 18 years, life had never given me what I wanted but rather it confronted me with so many challenges.I attended  many churches with different kinds of baptism. I came to realise that they all worship God but in many ways and does not have the fullness of the gospel so I decided to stay away from any other church for a number of years. One fine day, I was discussing with a friend about how numerous of churches came into existence. After our discussions, a young man approached me and started to ask me questions about what we were discussing.
I explained to him and afterwards,he invited me to attend a church service on Sunday.

I honoured the invitation and after the church service, I was introduced to the church missionaries in the person's of Elder Turner and Elder Kabura who made an appointment with me to start teaching me the missionary lessons. These elders often visit me to teach the restoration of the gospel and how the lord's truth church was established once again through the prophet Joseph Smith. Each time they visit me, they ask me to pray to find out if the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter- Day Saints is the only true church on the earth. I did pray to God and he answered my prayers and I began to feel the spirit within me. I accepted the gospel and I was baptised into the church.

When I became a member, I learnt so many things concerning the gospel of Jesus Christ. I learned about the law of tithing, the law of chastity, the word of wisdom, the book of Mormon which contains the fulness of the gospel, the ordinances and so many things.Through the church and the gospel my life has changed.

I know that we are on this earth to be tested, live by the gospel and be prepared to returned back to our heavenly father. I believe that God lives and loves us and that Jesus christ is the son of God who carried out the infinite atonement and that josepth smith is a prophet of God who was called to restore the gospel and that we are led by a living prophet today and also the church of jesus christ of latter day saints is the saviour true church on the earth.
